Scholar Athlete: ShaQuille Prather

ShaQuille Prather

Broadcasting and Electronic Media major ShaQuille Prather is among select members of the EKU football team who traveled to Haiti. This volunteer mission trip engages the Hands & Feet Project. Prather, a Colonel Scholar from Cincinnati, Oh., joins his teammates assisting with the Anba Mon Children's Village construction as well as tutoring children in the orphanage.

Rudick receives Alumni Association Award for Teaching Excellence

Dr. Karen Rudick, professor of communication studies, recently received the Alumni Association’s Award for Teaching Excellence.  Dr. Rudick was recognized at the annual Alumni Awards and Recognition Banquet, a part of the University's annual Alumni Weekend.

Scholar Athlete: Sean Hagen

Sean Hagen

Construction Management major Sean Hagen is one of 15 semifinalists for the 2014 Johnny Bench Award, the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission announced recently. The award is given annually to the top NCAA Division I catcher. Hagen is a senior from Reading, Pa.

Scholar Athlete: Abigail Cvelbar

Abigail Cvelbar

Applied Engineering Management major Abigail Cvelbar received the Most Inspirational Leader award at the EKU Volleyball annual team awards banquet. Cvelbar a junior from Euclid, Oh., was a three-time all-state selection at her home Beaumont High School and was also a four-year letter winner, three-year team captain and team MVP.
