The 3rd annual Stateland Dairy Show was held Friday, September 26, 2014, at EKU's Meadowbrook Farm. Well attended by students' friends and family, the event would not have been possible without the help of Chad Powers, Matt Collins, and Robby Estes who worked long hours to get the barn ready.

Givens, assistant professor in the Department of Communication at Eastern Kentucky University, has been elected to a two-year term on the national board of directors of the Society of Professional Journalists. The election took place at the Society’s annual conference Sept. 4 through 7 in Nashville.
