AG & HORT students at Farm Field Day

Students from the EKU Agriculture and Horticulture departments hosted the 2016 High School Farm Field Day on Thursday, September 29th.  The event took place at EKU Meadowbrook Farm, where high school students traveled from surrounding counties to see all that EKU’s Ag programs have to offer.

AG Students Selected for National Delta Tau Alpha Leadership

Two EKU chapter officers have been selected to serve the National Delta Tau Alpha agriculture honor society for the 2016-17 year.  Sydney Kleinert, a senior from Clifton, Illinois, and Bethany McKinney, a senior from Mount Vernon, Kentucky, are serving as National DTA President and Secretary, respectively.

EKU Agriculture Now Offers a Master's in Agricultural Operations and Management

Graduates of agriculture and horticulture programs may now pursue a Master’s degree concentration in Agricultural Operations and Management.

This unique program combines hands-on agricultural experience with creative problem solving and agribusiness management.

Red Barn Garden Helps Give Farmers Market Best Year Ever

Location changes, the addition of a “fresh food truck,” a collaboration with the EKU Red Barn Garden and Orchard and increased promotion have combined to make this the best year ever for the Madison County Farmers Market on the EKU campus.
