The ROTC Colonel Challenge of 2016 was held at the Challenge Course on August 14-16. New ROTC cadets worked together to complete the ropes course and various exercises, forming new bonds of not only comradery, but also professionalism.

Dustin Wittman is an aerospace management major at Eastern Kentucky University. He realized aviation was his passion when he went to his first air show as a child with his family.

“It kind of became a tradition, in Cleveland and later in Albuquerque. I went to air shows every year. I can't think of one that I missed,” Dustin said.

Cadets Participate in International CULP Program

Each summer, EKU ROTC Colonels Battalion sends cadets overseas for the Culture Understanding and Language Proficiency (CULP) program. For these ROTC cadets, the world became their classroom. This year, two cadets from Eastern participated in the CULP program.

Graduating senior Josh Minor has been inducted into the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society. Minor, from Atlanta, Ga., earned his BS in Agriculture in May.
